  Hutou Rice Noodles

Trademark Owner: Anxi County Hutou Rice Noodle Industry Research Association

Hutou Rice Noodles, a geographical indication product from Hutou Town in Jinjiang City, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, was officially recognized as a geographical indication product by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine of China in 2017.

With a history spanning over 600 years, Hutou Rice Noodles are made from high-quality rice, using a traditional production process that involves eleven steps, including rice selection, soaking, grinding, pressing, boiling, stirring, shaping, drying, and packaging. These noodles are celebrated for their exceptional quality, with a texture described as "crystal white, fine as silk, firm as a spring, smooth like jade, and light as fluff."

What sets Hutou Rice Noodles apart is the use of Liangxi spring water, which contains various minerals, and the special drying process that takes place on the sandy banks of the Lanxi River, where the long sunlight hours and strong radiation enhance the noodles' quality. "Fushou Rice Noodles," made with water from the Fushou Village well, are considered the most authentic variety due to the unique taste provided by this high-quality water. The local climate, water quality, and other natural advantages contribute significantly to the noodles' distinctive characteristics.
