　　Dehua Daiyun Black Chicken is a high-quality meat chicken breed from Fujian Province, developed through long-term natural domestication and selective breeding. The breed is known for its tender, fragrant, and delicious meat, rich in protein, vitamins, trace elements, inosine, and amino acids. It also contains a higher level of melanin, which has earned it the reputation of being a highly nutritious and health-promoting food. Additionally, it is recognized as a trendy "black food" among modern consumers.

　　Dehua Daiyun Black Chicken was granted geographical indication protection by the former National Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine Bureau in December 2007, and it adheres to the local standards set by Fujian Province, including "Dehua Daiyun Black Chicken" (DB35/699-2006) and "Geographical Indication Product Dehua Daiyun Black Chicken" (DB35/T990-2010). On September 24, 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs conducted a national geographical indication product review, which resulted in the official registration of Dehua Daiyun Black Chicken. The breed was also recognized as one of the "Top 100 Most Favorite Chinese Agricultural Regional Public Brands" in 2011 and was awarded as a national "Famous, Special, Excellent, and New Agricultural Product" in 2022.
