Quanzhou, March 7 – On March 6, Olympic table tennis champion Deng Yaping visited Quanzhou as an Ambassador for the China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) Public Welfare Program. She took part in the "Together for Her – 2025 CWDF Women's Care Charity Event in Quanzhou." During the event, Deng praised Quanzhou’s vibrant food scene, rich cultural heritage, thriving industries, and the resilience of its women.

　　Having visited Quanzhou multiple times, Deng Yaping is no stranger to the city. “Quanzhou is a welcoming and livable place. What stands out most to me is its incredible variety of local delicacies, especially the tea snacks. Quanzhou is famous for its high-quality teas, and as a tea lover, I truly enjoy pairing them with these exquisite treats. It’s a perfect way to relax and recharge amidst a busy schedule.”

　　She also shared that her previous visits were often packed with commitments, leaving little time for sightseeing. “This time, I hope to explore the city more deeply and experience its unique charm firsthand.”

　　Reflecting on Quanzhou, Deng Yaping described it as a city of contrasts—where history meets progress. “Quanzhou seamlessly blends deep cultural heritage with modern, cutting-edge industries. It is globally recognized as a sportswear hub, particularly in Jinjiang, where advanced technology has helped propel Chinese sports to new heights. The region’s innovations provide athletes with crucial support, enabling them to compete at the highest levels.”

　　Deng Yaping also highlighted the “Dare to Struggle, Dare to Win”ethos that defines the people of Fujian—a spirit deeply ingrained in Quanzhou’s history. She particularly admired the perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit of Quanzhou’s women, emphasizing their dedication, courage, and determination.
