This sensory experience of taste, sight, sound, and smell became a cultural journey exploring Quanzhou’s World Heritage and Maritime Silk Road legacy.

Seasons of Flavor: Experiencing Song-Yuan Cuisine

With the sound of the guqin and flute filling the air, servers in Song-Yuan attire warmly welcomed guests, setting an ancient, elegant atmosphere. “Zatyon Banquet” honors seasonal delicacies, reviving centuries-old recipes and culinary techniques. Each seasonal chapter reflected Quanzhou’s rich cultural heritage, blending traditional ingredients with stories from the Maritime Silk Road.

  Spring: Blooming Beginnings

Symbolizing new beginnings, spring’s chapter started with “Lingyan Fragrance” and “Chunshan Tea,” invoking Quanzhou’s blooming bougainvillea. Pairings of dried and fresh fruits echoed the region's cultural diversity.

  Summer: Ocean Breeze

The summer feast celebrated Quanzhou’s maritime history, offering dishes reminiscent of ancient seafaring adventures. Min Nan’s Four Joys appetizer reflected Quanzhou's cultural depth and historical significance.
