  The Quanzhou Local Delicacies Association (QZLDA) was established on 24 September 2012, with approval from the Quanzhou Municipal Tourism Bureau and registration by the Quanzhou Civil Affairs Bureau. Initially comprising 44 members, the association has since expanded to 130 member units spanning Quanzhou’s counties, cities, and districts.

  Key Initiatives and Events

  Publication of Quanzhou Delicacies (2013)

  Collaborating with China News Service, the association published a book introducing Quanzhou's unique delicacies.

  Culinary Skills Education

  Partnered with South China Vocational School to promote Quanzhou's culinary techniques, aligning with government policies on rural development.

  Event Participation and Promotion

  1. Minnan Culture Festival (2013): Organized 20 members to participate in a 5-day temple fair event.

  2. Anxi International Tea Expo (2013-2014): Featured members to showcase Quanzhou’s culinary heritage.

  3. Cross-Strait Food Exhibitions (2014): Displayed local delicacies at events such as the Minnan Temple Fair Food Show.

  Media Collaboration

  Between 2015-2017, the association worked with radio programs, promotional video projects, and tourist maps to enhance visibility for member businesses.

  1. Donated books and established libraries for underprivileged schools (2018).

  2. Supported COVID-19 relief efforts by providing supplies and meals to frontline workers (2022).
