Quanzhou News, September 6 (Correspondent Lai Liangde, Multimedia Reporter Zhang Suping) — The Licheng District Bureau of Commerce has officially launched the updated version of the Licheng District Digital Food Map (hereafter referred to as the "Food Map"). Featuring over 100 diverse dining establishments, the map provides both locals and visitors a seamless way to explore and enjoy the culinary delights of this historic city.
Food Map Interface
The new version of the Food Map boasts a cleaner, more user-friendly layout compared to its previous iteration. Gone are the cluttered, hard-to-navigate designs—now, users will find street names, landmark buildings, and major attractions clearly marked, making navigation effortless. The map currently lists nearly 100 dining establishments, offering a variety of iconic local dishes, such as Yuanfang Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), Cai's Mazi (a type of deep-fried snack), and Sidan Ginger Duck (a traditional duck dish with ginger). Whether you’re looking for traditional Quanzhou delicacies or street snacks, the map serves as a comprehensive guide to the city’s vibrant food scene.
To streamline decision-making, each restaurant listing includes images of the interior, detailed descriptions, and contact information. Once a restaurant is selected, users can easily get directions with just one click.
New Features for Easy Navigation
A standout feature of the updated Food Map is the new "Categories" section, which divides restaurants into three main themes: "Most Homely," "Most Exotic," and "Most Trendy." The "Most Homely" category highlights comforting, traditional Minnan-style dishes, while "Most Exotic" features restaurants offering unique international flavors. The "Most Trendy" section showcases the latest food trends, ensuring visitors are kept up to date with the hottest dining spots in the city. According to a staff member from the Licheng District Bureau of Commerce, the team is continually improving the map’s features and actively encouraging more businesses to join, making it easier for visitors to "eat their way through the ancient city."
Ensuring Quality and Consumer Confidence
To guarantee a trustworthy dining experience for both locals and tourists, the relevant authorities will gradually implement entry requirements for restaurants featured on the Food Map. These measures are designed to ensure all listed establishments maintain high-quality standards and offer distinctive culinary experiences. If consumers encounter any issues, such as price discrepancies or differences between advertisements and actual offerings, they are encouraged to contact the consumer complaint hotline at 12315.
