The Licheng District culinary digital map (hereinafter referred to as the "Food Map") has been officially updated and is now live.
With over 100 dining establishments from various categories now included, the map allows users to easily navigate to restaurants with a single tap, making it convenient for both locals and tourists to explore the flavors of the ancient city.
The previously cluttered and vague real-time map has been upgraded to a simple and clear flat map. Street names, iconic landmarks, and major attractions are clearly marked, allowing users to easily locate their position and see nearby dining spots and attractions at a glance.
Currently, the Food Map includes 100 restaurants, covering a wide variety of options such as traditional Quanzhou flavors and street food. To aid in selection, each restaurant has uploaded images of their interior, along with store descriptions and contact details. The map also includes an address navigation feature, so once a restaurant is selected, users can easily get directions.
In terms of functionality, the new version retains three old features: "My Location," "Store List," and "Store Search," while adding a new "Categories" section. This section organizes restaurants under three themes: "Most Homely" (local Minnan-style home cooking), "Most Exotic" (unique ethnic foods), and "Most Trendy" (popular and fashionable foods), making it easier for users to browse.
With the upcoming Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, the ancient city is expected to welcome many tourists. The Licheng District Business Bureau plans to promote the new Food Map through travel guides, business store displays, and other means to help more locals and visitors discover, learn about, and use it. They are also working to continuously improve the map's functions and encourage more businesses to join, ensuring that users can "Savor the city's heritage cuisine." with one simple map. To ensure quality and safety, the relevant authorities will gradually set access criteria for participating restaurants to ensure that all listed eateries offer distinctive, high-quality meals.
