During the Third Silk Road Culinary Development Conference and the 2025 Quanzhou Maritime Silk Road International Food Carnival, delegates visited several key sites in Quanzhou's food and beverage sector. From historic cultural hubs to leading enterprises, participants commended the city's achievements in building a dynamic and innovative culinary industry chain.

On August 17, the first stop was Global Encounters Marketplace, a large-scale cultural-commercial-tourism complex currently under development. Designed to showcase both Quanzhou's deep historical heritage and its modern vitality, the project features themed dining streets, intangible cultural heritage displays, and leisure entertainment facilities. Guests expressed strong expectations for Quanzhou's "food + cultural tourism" model, which integrates gastronomy with heritage-based tourism.

The delegation then visited Fujian Fubang Food Co., Ltd., where they explored innovations in food research, processing, and market expansion. Attendees sampled both traditional delicacies such as handmade fish balls and newer internet-popular products, earning enthusiastic praise. During a roundtable, company head Wu Yunzhen introduced Fubang's development journey, product features, and strategic goals. Guests engaged in discussions on food industry upgrading, supply chain optimisation, and potential cooperation opportunities.

At Dali Foods Group Co., Ltd., the product display centre immediately sparked nostalgia. "I grew up eating Daliyuan bread, Haochidian biscuits, and Heqizheng herbal tea—they were my childhood favourites!" said Mr. Sun, a guest from Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Delegates were impressed by Dali's capacity for innovation and large-scale production, noting that the visit offered valuable, first-hand insights into best practices in brand building and market operations at a top-tier enterprise.

According to organisers, the field visits not only deepened participants' understanding of Quanzhou's food industry chain but also provided a platform for resource-sharing and partnership-building. Looking ahead, Quanzhou aims to leverage its role as a core hub of the Maritime Silk Routes, further aligning culinary culture with industrial development, and injecting fresh vitality into the global food and beverage sector.
