Yongchun Vinegar, registered by the Yongchun Vinegar Association, ranks among "China's Four Famous Vinegars" and represents a culturally significant industry rooted in Yongchun County, China. In recent years, the local government has prioritized the development of the vinegar industry, positioning it as a key enterprise with global market potential.
Recognized under China's national geographical indication system, Yongchun Vinegar stands alongside Zhenjiang Aromatic Vinegar, Sichuan Baoning Vinegar, and Shanxi Mature Vinegar. Its production method preserves the ancient pure grain fermentation technique, where vinegar is brewed after wine, making it a living testament to traditional vinegar brewing practices. Rich in nutrients, it contains 18 essential amino acids, six trace elements, and bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, melanoidins, and glutathione, earning the moniker "Moutai of Vinegars."
Since 2009, Yongchun Vinegar has held national geographical indication protection status. Major registered trademarks include Taoxi, Shundetang, Fuquanchun, Suanmei, Taoxing, Shangshangji, Suanzhixiang, and Gangganghao. Four trademarks—"Taoxi" by Yongchun Vinegar Industry, "Shundetang and Design" by Shundetang, "Fuquanchun and Design" by Fuquanchun, and "Taoxing Brand and Design" by Jinchun Brewing—have been recognized as Fujian Famous Trademarks. Additionally, three—"Taoxi" by Yongchun Vinegar Industry, "Shundetang" by Shundetang, and "Taoxing" by Jinchun Brewing—have received city-level famous trademark status. Yongchun Vinegar Industry and Shundetang have earned the prestigious "Fujian Time-Honored Brand" title, while Jinchun Brewing has been recognized as a "Quanzhou Time-Honored Brand."
