Quanzhou Food Vocational Education Group Established in Jinjiang

  Jinjiang News Network, November 24 – The establishment ceremony of the Quanzhou Food Vocational Education Group and the launch of the first "Panpan Cup" Cross-Strait Food Innovation and Creativity Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges were held on November 22, 2017, at Quanzhou Light Industry College.

  Lin Yuming, Secretary-General of the Fujian Food Industry Association, highlighted that Quanzhou and Jinjiang serve as key hubs for food brands and production, with a high demand for skilled professionals. The formation of the Quanzhou Food Vocational Education Group is a strategic initiative to support industry growth and establish a leading food vocational education platform in Fujian. This marks a significant milestone in the province's food industry and vocational education development.

  The group, spearheaded by Quanzhou Light Industry College, operates under the direct guidance of the Fujian Provincial Department of Education and the Quanzhou Education Bureau. It aims to accelerate the advancement of the food sector in Fujian through industry-academia collaboration, institutional partnerships, and research integration. The consortium brings together industry organizations, enterprises, and academic institutions across regions and sectors, fostering cooperation on a voluntary, equitable, and mutually beneficial basis. With trust and contractual agreements as its foundation, the group functions as a multi-faceted, multi-tiered, and cross-industry education alliance. Dr. Wang Shusheng, Executive Director of Quanzhou Light Industry College, has been appointed as the first chairman of the board.
