Quanzhou, China – 4 August 2025 – Quanzhou's signature dishes—succulent beef and fragrant ginger duck—took centre stage in the 2025 Quanzhou Beef and Quanzhou Ginger Duck Specialty Cuisine Marketing Skills Competition, where creativity, digital flair, and culinary heritage came together in a vibrant showcase.
After a dynamic season of competition, a panel of expert judges awarded Special Gold Prizes to three standout marketers in each category, along with Gold Prizes to another seven in Ginger Duck and five in Beef. These winners are set to become digital ambassadors for Quanzhou's culinary heritage, taking its unique flavours from local streets to the global stage.
Launched on 16 July, the contest challenged participants to craft compelling campaigns on Douyin (China's TikTok) and Meituan, blending storytelling with smart sales strategies. The results spoke volumes: nearly 10 million online views and impressive sales, proving that tradition and technology can be a winning recipe.
The event was paired with the 2025 Quanzhou Beef and Quanzhou Ginger Duck Culinary Skills Competition held at the Quanzhou Hotel, creating a powerful "online buzz + offline excellence" model. The initiative not only celebrated Quanzhou's timeless flavours but also opened new pathways for heritage brands in the digital era.
