After an extensive 1.5-month campaign, the results of Quanzhou's slogan competition for its bid to become a City of Gastronomy have been officially revealed. The top three slogans are:

　　· Gold Award: "Quanzhou’s Time-Tested Heritage: Linking Worlds Through Cuisine"

　　· Silver Award: "Quanzhou’s Maritime Heritage: Binding Worlds Through Flavors"

　　· Bronze Award: "Quanzhou’s Maritime Culinary Legacy: A Bond Across Borders"

　　This nationwide event saw enthusiastic participation, with more than 10,000 submissions from 1,750 participants across 30 provinces in China, including regions such as Hunan, Guangdong, Anhui, Shandong, Shaanxi, Hubei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Hebei, Yunnan, and Henan. The diversity of contributors was remarkable, with participants spanning all age groups and professions. Among the many submissions was a handwritten slogan from a 90-year-old resident of Dehua, highlighting the broad public interest in this initiative.

　　The submitted slogans demonstrated creativity and thoughtfulness, capturing the essence of Quanzhou’s rich cultural and culinary heritage. The entries reflected the city’s unique gastronomy and its connection to global flavors, aligning with UNESCO’s sustainable development principles and the city’s vision of becoming a City of Gastronomy. The slogans effectively showcased the city's deep cultural roots while positioning Quanzhou as a significant culinary destination on the world map.

　　From the more than 10,000 entries, the organizing committee selected 50 finalists for the second-round evaluation. The final selection process combined 30% public voting and 70% expert panel voting. After this, 33 winning slogans were chosen, with rankings determined by their total scores. The first-place winner received the Gold Award, the second-place received the Silver Award, and the third-place winner earned the Bronze Award. There were also 30 Excellence Awards for other outstanding submissions.
